You will maintain and operate automated cutting and welding equipment to produce Porta Band blades, perform routine maintenance, and ensure quality inspections throughout the process. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (AA preferred), strong math skills, ability to read prints, and basic tool and SPC knowledge.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; AA degree or technical school preferred.
• Solid shop math skills and ability to work with decimals.
• Proficient in reading & interpreting prints.
• Basic mechanical ability; machine changes and operation experience.
• Ability to use and operate basic tools, equipment, & gages.
• Knowledge of SPC and basic computer skills such as machine controls, monitoring, and data entry.

Aufgaben

• Maintain equipment to cut off, weld, grind, anneal, grit blast, inspect and pack Porta Band blades.
• Set up and adjust automatic cut off machine with coil of band saw material, set stops and count quantities.
• Transfer blades to welder, adjust welding machine, check time and temperature controls.
• Use grinding wheel or belt grinder to remove weld flash.
• Maintain welder jaws and perform periodic replacements; dress abrasive wheel.
• Perform inspections and tests, prepare blades for packing in shipping containers.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on machines and equipment; log maintenance.
