Job summary

Bimbo QSR in Ohio is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan, organize and control bakery production ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The role supervises production lines, coordinates with maintenance, sanitation and shipping, enforces GMP and HACCP, and leads safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong leadership, communication and planning skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more in a leadership capacity, experience in production, preferably in the food industry or manufacturing.
• AIB certification is a plus as well with GFSI
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrate ability to motivate and train employees within a team-oriented environment.
• Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision, position requires high energy and motivation, and a strong desire to drive positive change.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates support of GMP and HACCP and ensures quality requirements.
• Provides leadership, training and coaching to associates.
• Maintains a safe work environment through compliance with regulations.
• Drives continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Manages start-up, changeovers, production run and end-of-run activities.
• Monitors product quality and adjusts formulas as directed.
• Schedules staff to ensure adequate production coverage.
• Works varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Leads LEAN activities (5S, KPI tracking, kaizen initiatives).
• Conducts safety inspections and investigations when needed.
• Reviews sales orders and develops production schedules.
• Drives productivity and controls operating costs.
