Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Automation Engineering Support Technician for the 3rd shift (10pm–6am) in Fort Worth, TX.

You will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated manufacturing equipment used to produce precision fiber optic connectivity products. Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and vendors to maximize equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Two+ years supporting automated assembly equipment in production environments.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with robotics, PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, and vision systems.
• Strong safety mindset including lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment (robotics, PLCs, HMIs, conveyors).
• Diagnose root causes of equipment issues and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance to improve reliability.
• Assist Engineers with performance, trials, and process improvements.
• Suggest improvements to safety, quality, productivity, and OEE.
