Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks educators for IDEA Academy who will deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction and foster college-ready skills in students. You will implement IDEA curricula, track progress, and communicate weekly with families to support growth.

Ideal candidates hold a teaching certification and a bachelor’s degree, with K-12 classroom experience. Bilingual certification is preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous development, and dedication to IDEA’s mission.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience in K-12 is required (strongly preferred).
• Experience in a classroom setting (K-12) is preferred.
• Bilingual certification is strongly preferred, ESL/content certs preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Assess and track each student’s progress; adjust plans accordingly.
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly.
• Maintain a behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
