Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a 3PL Trucking Manager to oversee the third-party trucking program, focusing on capacity, dispatch performance, safety, and profitability. You will lead a team, recruit carriers, and coordinate with project and field teams to meet daily and long-term trucking needs.

Key duties include managing carrier records, ensuring DOT compliance, and analyzing performance metrics to drive efficiency, service quality, and financial results.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of trucking, transportation, logistics, dispatch, carrier management, or related operational experience.
• Experience supervising or developing employees is preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, carrier insurance requirements, transportation safety practices, and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 3PL trucking operation, including capacity, dispatch performance, safety, compliance, and profitability.
• Supervise and support the 3PL Dispatch Coordinator.
• Recruit and maintain relationships with owner-operators, small fleets, and external carriers.
• Forecast and fulfill daily and long-term trucking needs with project teams.
• Oversee scheduling of dump trucks, end dumps, and other hauling resources.
• Maintain current carrier qualification records, insurance, DOT data, and records.
• Review 3PL rates, invoices, and carrier payments for accuracy.
