Kiddie Academy of Flushing is seeking an energetic, optimistic and inspiring educator to join us as a 3K/UPK Lead teacher. You’ll bring a creative touch and caring attitude to our passionate team of child care professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community every day.

And you’ll do it in an environment with enhanced health and safety protocols. Plan and implement engaging lessons, foster positive relationships, and build strong partnerships

Qualifications

• BA or MA in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education
• Must hold or be on track to hold NY State teaching certificates: Early Childhood (Birth – Grade 2); Nursery, Kindergarten and Grades 1–6 (N–6); Prekindergarten–Grade 6 (P–6); Students with Disabilities (Birth – Grade 2)
• 10 month position; English-Mandarin bilingual skills are an asset

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Creative Curriculum.
• Foster positive, supportive relationships with each child while promoting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Build strong partnerships with families and encourage meaningful family engagement.
• Communicate with families daily regarding their child's progress and participate in family conferences twice annually.
• Attend Kiddie Academy staff meetings, DOE professional development sessions, and weekly 3-K team meetings to support collaboration and ensure activities align with quality standards.
