Job summary

Kitware advances 3D vision research from photons to practical applications, contributing to TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield. The role focuses on photogrammetry, camera calibration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video for diverse data domains, including aerial, satellite, underwater, and SAR imagery.

You will collaborate with researchers, share findings at major conferences, and contribute to open-source frameworks while addressing challenging national security problems.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience using multiview geometry to develop algorithms for 3D reconstruction from imagery/video.
• Experience with AI/ML methods for 3D reconstruction or camera calibration.
• Proficient in C++ and/or Python with good software practices.
• Strong publication record in CVPR/ICCV/ECCV.
• Innovative with a track record solving complex imaging challenges.
• Collaborative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• US Citizen only due to contractual restrictions.
• Willing to apply for TS/SCI clearance if not already cleared.
• Include a detailed list of publications in resume/CV.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop solutions for camera calibration, registration, and 3D reconstruction from images.
• Contribute to open source software such as TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
• Collaborate with researchers to develop ideas and peer-review work.
• Prepare and present research findings to customers and collaborators.
• Present at national/international conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, WACV, 3DV).
• Pursue funding to grow your own research areas if desired.
