Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC in NYC is seeking a 3D Technical Designer for children’s apparel. You will develop and maintain fit and quality standards, creating spec packages and leading fit sessions with design and production teams.

You will confirm measurement tolerances, communicate with vendors, and ensure compliance with safety requirements using Browzwear 3D and classic patternmaking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience, children’s wear experience.
• Experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar.
• Familiar with measuring sample points to ensure tolerance.
• Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction.
• Knowledge of patternmaking, sewing terminology and garment construction.

Responsibilities

• Work with Design and Production teams to establish and maintain fit and construction standards.
• Create spec packages for each style including correct grade rules and construction details.
• Accurate measurement and evaluation of development, proto samples for spec and quality.
• Prepare and lead fit sessions with Design and Production Depts.
• Communicate measurement, construction and workmanship comments to vendors with details.
• Ensure all products meet relevant children’s safety requirements.
