Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a 3D Technical Designer to develop and maintain fit/quality for children's apparel in our NYC office. You will collaborate with Design and Production to ensure brand consistency, accuracy of spec packages, and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar, plus strong patternmaking and garment construction knowledge. Office-based role, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in children's wear.
• Experience with Browzwear 3D software or similar.
• Familiar with measuring sample points to ensure tolerance.
• Strong knowledge of knit and woven garment construction.
• Knowledge of patternmaking, sewing terminology and garment construction.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Word; Illustrator a plus.
• Must be willing to work in the office 5 days/week.

Responsabilités

• Work with Design and Production teams to establish and maintain fit and construction standards.
• Create spec packages for each style including correct grade rules and non-standard construction details.
• Accurate measurement and evaluation of development, proto samples for spec, quality & workmanship.
• Prepare and lead fit sessions with Design and Production Depts.
• Communicate measurement, construction and workmanship comments to vendors with details.
• Work with Production and Compliance Depts to meet children’s safety requirements.
• Answer questions via email regarding fit, specs, pattern and construction.
