Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. seeks a skilled 3D modeling specialist to support its Smart Construction design team in North America.

You will create 3D models used with GPS machine control and construction layouts, and work closely with dealers and customers to ensure accurate data and timely delivery. The role involves using Carlson or other civil design software, AutoCAD file interpretation, and frequent customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Read construction plans and AutoCAD files and discuss projects with end-customers.
• Proficiency in Carlson or other civil design software.
• Comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality 3D modeling solution for systems from TopCon, Trimble, Carlson, Leica, and others.
• Produce 3D surface models for GPS machine control and construction layout equipment.
• Create 3D GPS models and Takeoffs for end-customers or Komatsu Dealers.
• Ensure data accuracy and proper translation of information into construction equipment.
• Engage customers and collaborate on project delivery within deadlines.
• Assist in troubleshooting, coaching, or training customers and Dealers on machine control technology and 3D models.
