Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a skilled 3D modeling specialist to support North America’s Smart Construction expansion. You will develop 3D models for dealers and customers, enabling precise GPS machine control and layout applications.

Responsibilities include producing GPS models, takeoffs, and data translation for construction equipment, while engaging customers and dealers to ensure on-time delivery and effective use of modern digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Read construction plans and AutoCAD files; engage end-customers on projects.
• Proficiency in Carlson or other civil design software; prior drafting or 3D modeling experience.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office; strong attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality 3D modeling solution for 3D systems (TopCon, Trimble, Carlson, Leica, etc.).
• Utilize software to produce 3D surface models for GPS machine control and construction layout equipment.
• Produce 3D GPS models and takeoffs for end-customers or Komatsu Dealers.
• Ensure data accuracy and translate information into construction equipment.
• Regularly engage customers and collaborate on project delivery within deadlines.
• Assist in troubleshooting and training customers and dealers on machine control technology.
