Job summary

Barker Black Ltd is seeking a proactive recruiter to own a full-cycle desk in Houston, handling client acquisition through candidate placement.

You will manage Contracts & Procurement or Discipline Engineering desks, grow MSAs, and actively bring in new multinational and mid-size clients. The role rewards entrepreneurship and strong sales drive in a growing, global engineering staffing business.

• Collaborate with teams to shape and expand the desk and revenue.

Barker Black is working with an established international engineering and technical staffing business with teams in the US, the UK and the Middle East. It is a mid sized company with clear plans to expand globally, and the Houston office is a big part of that growth.

The business supplies engineering and technical professionals on both a contract and direct hire basis to major global companies. It already holds MSAs with a range of multinational clients, so you will start with real demand to work on from day one.

The role

This is a true 360 role where you own the whole process, from winning the client to placing the candidate. You will run a desk in one of two areas.

Contracts and Procurement, placing professionals who manage contracts, buying and supply chain on major projects.

Discipline Engineering, placing mechanical, process, electrical and other engineers across a wide range of projects.

You will work the company’s existing MSAs and grow those accounts. Just as important, you will be out winning new clients among multinational and mid size global companies.

Sectors

The company is open on sector. If you recruit in power and transmission, data centers, defense, pharma, renewables and clean energy or technology, they would like to hear from you. These are markets the business wants to grow in, so you will have room to shape your own desk.
