Job summary

The Wenatchee School District is seeking a Special Education Para- leave replacement at Orchard Middle School to support the Special Education instructor and foster a positive learning environment. The position runs 6.1 hours per day and covers the period from 10/06/2026 to 01/22/2027.

This role may involve one-on-one or resource room support and additional duties as assigned. Location may shift based on student needs and staffing requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum AA degree or equivalent or passed PRAXIS test.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Ability to make good decisions. Patient, flexible, self-motivated, good communication, teamwork.
• Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.

Salary: $21.87 - $24.41 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to make good decisions.Patient, flexible, self-motivated, good communication, teamwork, academic skills and positive social skills and a sense of humor. Ability to relate well to students, parents and staff. May require lifting, prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.

180 - 219 Day Employees - Paid leave benefits include 10 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days and 11 holidays.

220 - 259 Day Employees - Paid leave benefits include 10 days of sick leave, 3 personal leave days and 11 holidays.

260 Day Employees - Paid leave benefits include 12 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days, 14 holidays and 12 vacation days.

Tuition reimbursement, 50% up to $450 per year for qualified expenses.
