Wenatchee School District seeks a Special Education Para to support students in a dynamic elementary setting. The role assists a Special Education instructor and may involve one-on-one or resource room support to foster academic and social development.
Minimum AA degree or equivalent or Praxis-tested, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required. Duties include reliable attendance and teamwork, with physical requirements noted. Open until filled.
Assist the Special Education instructor in creating a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social and intellectual development of students. Provide educational services to students in the special education program. This position may require one-on-one or resource room support. Other related duties as assigned. ** Building locations subject to change based on student support needs. **
MinimumAA degree or equivalent or passed PRAXIS test required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required. Ability to make good decisions.Patient, flexible, self-motivated, good communication, teamwork, academic skills and positive social skills and a sense of humor. Ability to relate well to students, parents and staff. May require lifting, prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.
