Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Dock Coordinator in Horn Lake, MS. The role focuses on leading dock operations, coordinating trailer movements, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will work with site operations, transportation, and customer-facing teams to balance priorities, uphold process guidelines, and ensure smooth dock and yard flows. Strong communication and hands-on safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/distribution environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock/yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Comfort working outdoors in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support of hand tools and dock equipment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for loading/unloading dock activities and coordinate trailer movements.
• Manage and sequence trailer docking, release, and yard flow, with knowledge of trailer anatomy and fleet safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified; follow escalation procedures.
• Partner daily with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer-facing teams to prioritize tasks.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders and maintain a customer service mindset.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines, safety standards, and site SWIs; see tasks to completion.
• Support dock and yard organization per 7S workplace standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks, inefficiencies, or delays.
• Use Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and Lead peers as needed.
