Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a welder/fitter for 2nd shift at our Monticello, IA site. Base pay starts at $22.00-$26.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential.

Shift is 2nd shift: 3:15 pm - 1:45 am. Responsibilities include welding setup, reading blueprints, operating cranes, and maintaining quality beads. Qualifications include an associate degree or 2‑3 years welding experience, ability to read blueprints, and proficient math and tool use.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from a 2-year College/technical school, or 1–3 years welding experience.
• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Read and comprehend documents including safety rules, manuals and procedures.
• Able to communicate information effectively in one‑to‑one and small groups.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate welder settings, gun speed/travel and gas flow with bead condition.
• Read tape measure and blueprints to shop standards.
• Train and teach proper welding procedures per procedures.
• Operate overhead crane and other lifting equipment.
• Maintain beads to specified shapes, sizes and penetrations.
