Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a second-shift welder in Monticello, IA. Base pay starts at $22.00–$26.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Shift: 2nd Shift – 3:15 pm to 1:45 am.

You will read blueprints, set weld parameters, and maintain quality while operating cranes and lifting equipment. Requirements include an associate degree or 1–3 years welding experience, ability to read tapes and micrometers, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 1–3 years welding experience or an equivalent combination.
• Read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Read and comprehend safety programs and procedures.
• Communicate effectively in small groups and one-on-one.
• Perform general math calculations.
• Use power hand tools and operate a forklift.
• Meet deadlines under pressure.
• Read measuring devices such as tape and micrometer.
• Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules in a manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate welder settings and travel speeds based on bead condition.
