Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift production operator at our Monticello, IA facility. You will set up and operate heavy machinery, inspect parts, and work from blueprints to ensure quality output in a high-production environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 3 years of manufacturing experience. Base pay starts at $20 per hour with a $1 shift differential for the 2nd shift (3:15 pm – 1:45 am), full-time with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in high production manufacturing environment.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations.
• Use a submerged arc welder to weld flat bar.
• Knowledge of production techniques and have the ability to produce quality-building parts.
• Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
