Challenge Manufacturing is hiring a Team Leader for the 2nd shift in Walker, MI. You will support the production team by enforcing safety, quality, and productivity standards while coaching and resolving issues to keep the line running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Age 18+
• Ability to stand 8-10 hours daily with or without accommodation

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules are followed and report abnormal conditions to leaders immediately.
• Verify product in the work zone conforms to customer requirements.
• Verify team checks according to the quality checklist.
• Perform periodic gage and visual checks on parts produced.
• Verify label information and pack-out quantities are correct; sign off labels before movement from the workcell.
• Fill in and run production to cover breaks and absenteeism as needed.
• Work with the team to achieve hourly production rates.
• Maintain hour-by-hour boards in the work zone and escalate downtime issues.
