Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Team Leader for the Weld 3rd shift in Walker, MI. The role focuses on safety, quality, productivity, and team performance to meet daily standards and customer requirements.

Lead by example, coach production members, and coordinate with supervision to solve root causes, manage labeling, and maintain flow across the shift while upholding ESOP values and accountability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours and perform essential functions.
• Position requires safety awareness and physical capability.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety rules and report abnormal conditions promptly.
• Verify product conformance to customer requirements in the work zone.
• Conduct quality checks and periodic gage/visual inspections.
• Ensure production schedule and JRFP adherence and proper labeling.
• Fill in and run production to cover breaks or absences as needed.
• Coach the team to meet hourly production targets and maintain boards.
