Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Production Operator for the 2nd shift in Walker, MI. You will load component parts into automated equipment, record production data, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and the ability to stand for long periods. Responsibilities include documenting results, labeling finished parts, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and speaks English to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail to detect defects and follow check sheets.
• Able to read operator instructions, inspection sheets, and quality alerts.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Load inventory into the cell using the Plex system and document production.
• Record production, pack per instructions, and label parts.
• Escalate machine downtime and poor‑quality parts to leadership.
• Document inspection results and non‑conformances.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and support audits.
