Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Team Leader for the 3rd shift (10:30 PM–6:30 AM, Sunday–Thursday) at our Walker, MI plant. You will lead production teams to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals while coaching employees and solving problems to maintain flow and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include verifying product conformance, following quality checklists, and supporting labeling, packaging, and shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach production team to meet safety, quality, productivity, and morale targets.
• Verify product conformance to customer requirements.
• Verify team members perform checks according to the quality checklist.
• Conduct periodic gage and visual checks of parts in the work zone.
• Maintain production schedule and JRFP; verify labeling and pack-out quantities.
• Sign off on labels prior to movement from the workcell.
• Support production during breaks and absences; ensure hourly production rates are met.
• Escalate downtime and productivity issues; maintain hour-by-hour boards.
