Job summary

World Wide Technology seeks a Warehouse Supervisor - ATR - 2nd Shift in Edwardsville, IL to lead 10-25 warehouse personnel handling receiving, moving, picking and shipping within our integrated operations.

You will drive safety, process improvements, and 5S standards while coordinating with the Warehouse Manager to meet production goals and customer deadlines. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree is required.
• 5+ years of warehousing experience preferred.
• Experience operating a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Review safety protocols and processes for best practices of equipment operation, making recommendations as needed for enhancements.
• Identify the interrelatedness of work activities across teams and recommend improvements to processes to increase effectiveness.
• Remove team barriers to implementing new ideas or approaches by securing the necessary resources or support from senior management.
• Ensure process improvement initiatives focus on measurable results, and help teams establish measures of success.
• Provide insight on addressing short-term production capacity constraints or issues.
• Guide the ordering, shipping, and warehousing processes to ensure a consistent flow for production.
• Conduct a deep review of data and issues to quickly reveal the root cause of problem.
• Recommend interim and long-term solutions to complex problems to ensure successful resolution.
• Execute solutions to complex problems; guide the analysis of a problem to a resolution.
• Listen attentively, clarify messages and expectations and ask thoughtful questions to determine unstated needs.
• Respond to others’ non-verbal behavior and pick up on the true message.
• Validate the intent of the message and offer constructive input.
• Consider team members’ time commitments in creating schedules and project plans.
• Follow up and keep others informed of progress on tasks and project responsibilities.
• Define the objectives and resources required to complete a project and manage the team within timeframes.
• Promote WWT safety guidelines.
• Drive teams to maintain a clean and organized (5S) warehouse operation.
