Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking a Material Handler to support operations by moving materials and finished products using a variety of powered industrial equipment. The role requires forklift certification and the ability to operate a pallet jack, order picker, and Drexel.

Shifts run 330pm–100am Monday–Thursday and 1230pm–530pm Friday; the position includes an hourly pay rate of $20.50 plus shift differential, with clean safety practices and reliable performance emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Ability to use a hand scanner.
• Picks up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area.
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas.
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack.
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager.
• Duties may change, or be added as needed.

Work Environment

Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
