Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Junior Systems Administrator to provide onsite technology support in a large Kansas warehouse. The role focuses on second-shift operations, troubleshooting Windows devices, printers, RF equipment, and connectivity, ensuring daily IT needs are met onsite.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years supporting Windows OS and Windows Server environments, printer and peripherals troubleshooting, and some TCP/IP networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment.
• 3+ years of experience with Windows Server environments, preferably Windows Server 2016 or newer.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows print servers and printer-related issues.
• Strong workstation, printer, and peripheral troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and network connectivity.
• Experience working within a ticketing/ITSM environment such as ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT and end-user support for warehouse employees during second-shift operations.
• Troubleshoot Windows operating system, workstation, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Support and troubleshoot printers, including Windows print environments and various Zebra printer models.
• Support Zebra handheld/RF devices and other mobile technology used throughout warehouse operations.
• Monitor printing environments and resolve issues such as printer connectivity, print queues, and device failures.
• Utilize ServiceNow to receive, manage, document, and resolve IT support tickets.
• Perform basic troubleshooting within an established Windows Server environment and verify that services and systems are operating properly.
• Troubleshoot basic TCP/IP networking and connectivity issues.
• Utilize available logs and command-line utilities to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Provide basic mobile device management support as needed.
• Perform basic Active Directory user/computer administration and file-share permission support as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic DNS and DHCP issues
