Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a facility technician in Wisconsin to operate and adjust valve seat insert presses and associated furnace and automation equipment. You will read production schedules, verify tool and press settings, and ensure production meets customer specifications while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires reading and following routers, maintaining quality control, and collaborating with operators to optimize output and reduce scrap. Overtime may be required in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year related experience or training.
• Equivalent education/experience accepted.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operates and adjusts valve seat insert compacting presses and furnace.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection at the compacting and sintering operations.
• Record information for inspection and production using forms, logs and computer systems.
• Verify equipment settings and conformance to specification using inspection equipment (micrometer, scales, etc.).
• Monitor scrap and nonconforming parts to aid in determining cause of failure.
• Overtime is required as posted weekly and may be mandated.
