Job summary

Tenneco is hiring for an hourly Production Technician on the 2nd shift. The role covers setup and operation of various friction manufacturing equipment, with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency. You will monitor operations, document data, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and pass required skills tests, background checks, and drug screens. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Solid reading, writing and mathematics skills including decimals & fractions.
• Ability to follow written & oral instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret precise measuring instruments.
• Works well with others on the team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate friction manufacturing equipment in production areas (compound, cure press, bagger, preform, finish line, inspector, press unloader).
• Maintain safe work environment and follow all safety rules with required PPE.
• Enter data into computer systems for tickets and production logs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine tasks as assigned.
• Meet daily production quotas and adjust pace to meet deadlines.
