Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a dedicated Utility Operator to support motor repair processes. The role involves cleaning, stripping, and painting AC/DC motor components during disassembly and assembly stages.

You will work closely with the winding department and operate various cleaning and repair equipment in a safety-focused environment. Responsibilities include cleaning motor parts, operating steam cleaners, sand-blasters, and dip tanks; using forklifts and cranes for material

Qualifications

• Experience performing stripping operations on AC/DC motor parts for repair and assembly.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (fork trucks, cranes) to move motors and parts.
• Ability to follow and document procedures accurately and consistently.
• Proficiency with hand tools; safe operation and maintenance.
• Willingness to undergo safety training and wear PPE.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Good physical endurance to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean internal and external motor parts (frames, cores, armatures, gears, housings) for repair.
• Operate cleaning equipment (steam cleaners, parts washers, sand-blaster).
• Use repair equipment (dip tanks, VPI systems, bake-out ovens) as part of the process.
• Handle motors/parts using forklifts and cranes to deliver or store items.
• Paint repaired motors before shipping to customers.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; maintain clean work area.
