Job summary

AHC Hospitality is hiring a full-time line cook to support our Amway Grand Plaza, JW Marriott Grand Rapids, and other properties. The role requires weekend availability and provides full benefits and discounts.

You will assist chefs, prep raw items, plate according to recipes, and ensure high quality, timely service while complying with sanitation standards across a busy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Post secondary culinary training/certification as "Cook" from a recognized program + 1 year upscale/high-volume kitchen experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and organizes work area with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Receives, inspects, and rotates food to ensure freshness.
• Prepares and stores raw food prior to cooking and service.
• Follows standardized recipes for cold items and maintains plating criteria.
• Ensures timely service and quality presentation.
• Adheres to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitors temperatures and cleanliness of surfaces and equipment.
