Job summary

AHC Hospitality is seeking a part-time line cook for the Grand Rapids area. The role focuses on preparing culinary items with attention to appearance, quality, and dining experience across our diverse properties including Amway Grand Plaza, JW Marriott Grand Rapids, AC Hotel by Marriott, and Courtyard by Marriott Downtown.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Previous prep or line cook experience.
• Professional communication skills required.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Must read and understand basic cooking directions.

Responsibilities

• Set up station according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepare all food items in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area and kitchen equipment.
• Communicate with service staff and follow the 86 board.
• Close kitchen properly and follow closing checklist.
