Job summary

Family Dollar Distribution Center in Duncan, OK is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on the 2nd shift (Monday–Thursday, 7:00pm–5:30am) to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on trailers and related equipment.

The role focuses on safe, efficient maintenance with a focus on parts inventory, inspections, and adherence to safety policies. Minimum 1 year heavy-duty trailer maintenance experience and a high school diploma are preferred. Training provided on-site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in heavy-duty commercial trailer maintenance.
• Must have a roll around tool chest and all hand tools to perform assigned mechanic’s work.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs to systems and components of company trailers.
• Mounts and dismounts tires.
• Inspects equipment and follows PM procedures.
• Maintains parts inventory and assists with inventory accuracy.
• Maintains safe work area and follows company policies.

2nd Shift Opening: Monday - Thursday,7pm to 5:30am

Starting Pay Rate: $23.00 / hourPLUS $2 shift differential

General Summary: Provides safe,effectiveand efficient preventive and corrective maintenance to all Family Dollar Transportation equipment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs all necessary repairs to all systems, sub-systemsand components of company commercial trailers.
• Mounts anddismountstires.
• Brands and places tires in inventory.
• Performs periodic FHWA inspections, inbound equipment inspections and PM follow up work.
• Assistsinmaintainingan accurateparts inventory system.
• Assistsin performing other maintenance-related activities, as needed.
• Followsset safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment.Followsall Company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Minimumof 1 year experience in heavy-duty commercial trailer maintenance. Ideally,candidatewillpossesssome formal equipment maintenance training from a Technical School. Must have aroll aroundtype tool chest and all hand tools to perform assignedmechanic’swork. Basiccomputer spreferred.
