Job summary

Family Dollar Distribution Center in Ashley, Indiana is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM). You will maintain our state-of-the-art, automated distribution center to ensure safety, reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical troubleshooting/maintenance or installation.
• Experience with conveyor and/or sortation equipment is preferred.
• Basic electrical/mechanical knowledge and ability to read electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Safely construct, install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain equipment and electrical systems in the distribution center.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and conveyors.
• Diagnose issues, document problems and coordinate repairs with team.

We’re Looking For Skilled Technicians

• Skills: Mechanical/electrical/controls/networking troubleshooting; strong electrical, mechanical and mathematical abilities; welding, hand and power tools and electrical motors; PC literacy/familiarity with Internet-based software and MS Office; and ability to periodically lift up to 70 lbs.
• Experience: 2+ years in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation; conveyor and/or sortation equipment; warehouse/distribution center background.
