Job summary

Family Dollar’s busy fully automated retail distribution center in Maquoketa, Iowa is seeking an experienced Maintenance Department Manager for the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 11pm–7am). You will oversee an assigned shift’s maintenance operations and lead a team of technicians to keep the DC in top working order.

You’ll plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance activities, promote safety, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Electrical/electronic background with conveyors and industrial equipment.
Experience with MP2/PLC preferred and RF systems desired.
Supervisory or management experience in maintenance.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance for a shift within a fully automated DC.
Direct and coordinate activities of up to 10 technicians.
Lead safety programs and staff development initiatives.
Respond to equipment failures and plan preventive maintenance.

MaintenanceDepartment Manager-3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11pm - 7am

**Family Dollar’s** busy fully automated retaildistribution center in Maquoketa, Iowa looking to add an experienced **MaintenanceManager** to our team. This person will overseeanassignedshift’smaintenance operations and provide leadership to a team of technicians while fostering a culture of safetyin order tokeep our DC in top working order.

General Summary:

The roleof the Maintenance Department Manager is to provide maintenance support to the DC Operation on their specified shift. This person is also responsible for a team of up to 10 hourly technicians. This person willbe responsible forplanning,directingand coordinating the activities of the maintenance personnel. This positionis responsible forembracing Family Dollar’s store-centric commitment to customers, customerserviceand sales.

Whatyou’llbe doing:

Performing routine and emergency equipment maintenance on various systems throughout the DC including:
Rapistan/Dematic Conveyor Systems
Material Handling Equipment
High-tech sortation/automated laser scanners
HVAC
Welding equipment
Responsible for building and ground maintenance
Resolves various equipment problems
Assistin safety compliance and programs
Selecting, training,motivatingand development of staff
Other duties as assigned

What we need from you:

Must be able to continuously walk the Distribution Center for an extendedperiod of time
Must be able to lift or move up to 60 lbs.
Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts

MinimumRequirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required;Bachelors’ Degree in Industrial Maintenancepreferred.

3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training and 1 to 2yearssupervisory and/or management experience.

Job Related Skills:

Electrical/electronic background and experience with conveyors, welding, air compressors, scanners, electroniccontrolsor industrial building maintenancerequired.
Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions and procedures manuals is key.
Previousexperience with MP2programand PLC is preferred.
Familiarity with Radio Frequency and pick-to-light systems desired.
Excellent oral, writtencommunicationand interpersonal skills are key for all positions, as well as strong planning and organization skills.
Computer Skills: MS Office Suiteproficiency
