Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Ashley, Indiana, to join our warehouse team on a 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM). You will maintain state-of-the-art, automated distribution center equipment, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical maintenance or installation.
• Experience with conveyor and/or sortation equipment.
• Strong electrical, mechanical and mathematical abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely construct, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment in the distribution center.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine or emergency repairs.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to keep operations running smoothly.

We’re Looking For Skilled Technicians

• Skills: Mechanical/electrical/controls/networking troubleshooting; strong electrical, mechanical and mathematical abilities; welding, hand and power tools and electrical motors; PC literacy/familiarity with Internet-based software and MS Office; and ability to periodically lift up to 70 lbs.
• Experience: 2+ years in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation; conveyor and/or sortation equipment; warehouse/distribution center background.
