Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Ashley, Indiana distribution center. This 3rd shift role runs Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, focusing on maintaining state-of-the-art automated systems and warehouse equipment.

You will join a dedicated team committed to safety and reliability. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of mechanical troubleshooting experience, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and familiarity with MS Office and basic software tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation; conveyor and/or sortation equipment; warehouse/distribution center background.
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems and using basic hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely construct, install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain equipment, machinery, structures and electrical systems within the distribution center.
• Perform preventative, routine and emergency repairs across the facility to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe, efficient operations and continuous improvement.

We rely on our talented Maintenance Technicians to safely construct, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, machinery, structures and electrical systems within the distribution center. Our mechanic team expertly performs preventative maintenance as well as routine and emergency repairs throughout the building. They work as a team and have fun!

We’re looking for skilled technicians:

• Skills: Mechanical/electrical/controls/networking troubleshooting; strong electrical, mechanical and mathematical abilities; welding, hand and power tools and electrical motors; PC literacy/familiarity with Internet-based software and MS Office; and ability to periodically lift up to 70 lbs.

• Experience: 2+ years in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation; conveyor and/or sortation equipment; warehouse/distribution center background.
