Job summary

WEG Transformers USA is seeking a Production Operator (2nd Shift) to perform a range of transformer manufacturing tasks, including interpreting BOMs and drawings, operating HV winding machines, and assembling components.

The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and willingness to work overtime. Candidate should reside within commuting distance; safety-sensitive position with pre-employment checks and drug screening will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Overtime work as needed.
• Resides within reasonable commuting distance; no relocation.
• Current work authorization for employment in the United States.
• Must complete: application, interview, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Safety Sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC.

Responsibilities

• Read BOMs, drawings, schematics to complete assignments with limited supervision.
• Operate HV winding machines.
• Frame and top-yoking active part.
• Prepare cable assemblies; make LV/HV connections and LTC connections if applicable.
• Verify insulation and lead runs for proper clearances and secure connections.
• Prepare cover, install bushings and other hardware for mounting.
• Move unit to and from test bay using overhead crane.
