Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running smoothly through preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs. You will work with a team to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, read precision instruments, and ensure regulatory compliance while upholding safety and service commitments.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, willingness to train, and ability to work with various rolling stock and equipment across the shop

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or in similar roles.
• Ability to read precision instruments and perform diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain company equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and related system failures on trucks and trailers.
• Read precision instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters) and diagnose issues.
• Weld on converter dollies when required and follow DOT/EPA/ICC/OSHA rules.
• Participate in training and adapt to shift changes as needed.
