Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Sr. Tool and Gage Maker to operate manual machines, perform repairs, and fabricate gauges for aerospace tooling on second shift at our onsite facility.

You will read blueprints, set up tools, and ensure accuracy while adhering to safety and maintenance procedures. You will work with HAAS/TRAK mills and lathes, calibrate gauges, and provide technical support for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, or 3+ years with a post-secondary certificate or degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform tool and gage making functions to support machines and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings; layout durable tools for machining or inspection.
• Perform machining and repairs on tools, gauges, and fixtures.
• Use precision measuring equipment and hand tools for complex setups.
• Set up equipment safely and efficiently; maintain calibration and documentation.
• Ensure fixtures and gauges meet specifications and are properly labeled.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers; follow tool-related procedures.
• Fabricate and calibrate ID/OD gauges for diameter inspection and compute angles.
• Record tool data; complete SAP transactions accurately.
• Follow sign-in, maintenance, sign-out, inventory, and vacation procedures.
