Parts Tool & Die is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist for its Agawam, MA facility on 2nd shift to independently set up and operate high-precision turning centers. You will work with complex aerospace materials, ensuring tight tolerances and first-pass yield while following AS9100 quality standards.

Collaboration with Engineering and Quality is essential for continuous improvement. You will read blueprints, interpret GD&T, select tools and fixtures, and adjust feeds and speeds to maintain

Competenze

• 3–7 years CNC lathe setup/operation in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Experience with multi-axis turning centers and live tooling preferred.

Mansioni

• Independently set up, prove out, and operate CNC lathes with multi-axis capability.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, and customer specs.
• Select cutting tools, jaws, collets, fixtures, and inspection methods for operations.
• Machine high-value aerospace components to tight tolerances with emphasis on repeatability and first-pass yield.
• Work with challenging materials (Inconel, titanium, hardened steels, stainless alloys).
• Perform first article and in-process verification using precision metrology tools.
