Job summary

Sora Resource Group in West Bend, WI is seeking a Custom Metal Fabricator & TIG Welder for a 2nd shift. You’ll perform high-precision TIG and MIG welding, read complex blueprints, and handle layout and fit-up for OEM parts in medical, packaging, and printing sectors.

This direct-hire role offers strong job security, profit sharing, and a 4-day Mon–Thu schedule (3:30 PM–2:00 AM). Requires 5+ years TIG/MIG experience, blueprint literacy, ability to lift 50 lbs, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years TIG & MIG fabrication depth in a job shop or custom metal fabrication environment.
• 5+ years experience reading complex blueprints and interpreting structural weld symbols.
• Rock-solid work history with exceptional daily punctuality and accountability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate overhead bridge cranes and forklifts.
• Strong track record of career longevity and multi-year tenures with previous employers.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder residing within a daily driving radius of West Bend/Jackson, WI area.

Responsibilities

• Perform Precision Welding: TIG and MIG welds on custom fabrications, structural components, and prototypes.
• Interpret Complex Engineering Blueprints: Analyze prints and weld symbols for 100% part accuracy and fit-up.
• Dial In Equipment Parameters: Set up welding machines, gas mixtures, amperage, and heat parameters.
• Layout & Fit-Up Assemblies: Measure, position, align, and fit complex sheet metal and structural components.
• Material Handling & Rigging: Use overhead cranes and forklifts to move large weldments.
• Collaborate & Optimize: Work with fabricators and leads to resolve design challenges and optimize runs.
