Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate for the 2nd shift in Arlington, TX. The role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery, supplier coordination, and inventory control within the GM account.

The position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $52,500 per year, with overtime opportunities and potential Saturday shifts as needed. This salaried non-exempt role includes benefits starting soon after hire, a 401(k) with company match, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year or more administrative experience preferred.
• 1 year or more relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GM's MRP system (MGO)—intermediate.
• Knowledge of transportation management—intermediate.
• Knowledge of material flow related to manufacturing processes—intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Follow up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery for production.
• Serve as main contact for suppliers; provide ship schedule directions and containment plans when behind schedule.
• Track critical parts and implement containment to avoid production downtime.
• Coordinate alternative material sources and spot buys when necessary.
• Monitor and arrange truck loads for material pickup to support schedules.
• Review buffers to cover build requirements and manage exceptions in the system.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO and process adjustment requests.
