Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring for a 3rd/overnight shift Supply Chain Operations Associate in Arlington, TX. The role focuses on material availability, inventory control, and supplier coordination within Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions division.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED, Required
• Bachelor's Degree, Preferred
• 1 year or more in administrative experience, Preferred
• 1 year or more in relevant experience, Preferred
• Knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) Intermediate, Preferred
• Knowledge of transportation management Intermediate, Preferred
• Knowledge of material flow as it relates to manufacturing processes Intermediate, Preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery to meet production needs
• Serve as main contact for suppliers and manage ship schedules and containment plans
• Track critical parts and implement containment plans to avoid production downtime
• Coordinate alternate sources of material and spot buys when needed
• Monitor and adjust truck loads to ensure material coverage at lowest cost
• Review buffers and manage inventory adjustments and code exceptions
