Job summary

Stellar Energy is seeking a 2nd Class Welder to join our Fort Worth fabrication facility. The role covers welding on structural plate and 6G pipe using SMAW, FCAW and GTAW, with cross-training for piping and structural assembly.

Responsibilities include reading WPS/PQRs, blueprint interpretation, surface preparation, and quality inspections. OSHA PPE compliance and occasional heavy equipment operation are required in this on-site, day-shift environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in threading, grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting
• Related experience or training

Responsibilities

• Fluent in understanding job specific WPS / PQR's and capable of setting machine up for performance in all positions to certified testing criteria.
• Analyze blueprints for weld insignia and the application thereof to assembly components on piping and structural systems.
• Identify prepared metal surfaces for welding per job requirements.
• Visually inspect pre- and post-welded surfaces and interpret fulfilled job requirements with measurement tools.
• Interpret insufficient weld criteria and know how to blend repairs efficiently.
• Understand and follow instructions with strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ensure daily work assignments are completed while monitoring quality and safety regulations.
• Operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts.
• Comply with company policies and safety requirements and wear PPE per OSHA standards.
• Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
