Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Program Support Technician (2nd Shift) to support the SPACE SUIT DESIGN TEAM in our Science and Space division.

The role involves manufacturing, testing, and maintenance of aerospace flight hardware, including AxEMU suits and components, using 3D printers, RF welders, fabric lasers and wheel cutters. Candidates should have 5+ years of related experience, a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to read engineering drawings, and pass required trainings.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Must pass Class III Physical and associated trainings
  • TX driver’s license and ability to operate government vehicle
  • Excellent oral and written communications; able to read/work with Work Authorizing Documents and drawings
  • Team-oriented work capacity

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, maintain, assemble, test, repair and process hardware to support events and deliverables
  • Operate 3D printers, RF welders, fabric laser, and wheel cutters
  • Assist engineers in locating and diagnosing anomalies and recommending corrective action
  • Read engineering drawings, schematics, equipment specs and test procedures daily
  • Complete required training online and in person to maintain certifications
  • Maintain daily updates to job-related databases
  • Adhere to Quality and Safety requirements
  • Transport hardware to events using a motor vehicle
  • Communicate daily with technicians, leads, engineers, managers and customers
