Valmont Industries in El Dorado, KS, is seeking a Machine Operator 8 on 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am, M-T). The role involves polishing, grinding, and processing material to shop drawings using a press brake, slitter decoiler, and material handling equipment.

Starting wage is $25.54/hr with a $1.50/hr shift differential. Candidates should have at least five years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ability to read blueprints, read a tape measure, and operate forklifts/overhead cranes with

Qualifications

• Must have five (5) years experience in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Ability to operate forklifts and obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and obtain overhead crane certification.
• Ability to read and understand blue prints/shop drawings.
• Must read a tape measure to within 1/32” and perform basic math.
• Able to program/re-set brake press and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Team oriented with strong safety mindset.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain equipment with minimal downtime.
• Polish, grind, and process material per shop drawings using designated machines.
• Load programs specific to product orders and feed through machines.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and maintain material traceability.
• Follow instructions and communicate with shifts leads and supervisors.
• Perform lean, 5S and housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean work area.
• Assist with maintenance and machine set up per parts and drawings.
• Ensure product quality and on-time shipment to the customer.
