Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a production team member to ensure proper slicing and control of patties while following safety and food safety policies. Set up the work area with all needed equipment and operate the slicer.

This 2nd shift role runs 4pm–1:00 am, Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday hours. You must be able to lift up to 49 pounds, work around machinery and chemicals, and endure 8-hour shifts in temperatures at or below 35°F.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 49 pounds.
• Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
• Must be able to perform 8 hours on concrete floor, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
• Must be able to work in temperatures ≤ 35°F for at least 8 hours.
• This location does not accept rehires.
• Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months in relevant roles.

Responsibilities

• Set up work area with all needed equipment.
• Slice tubes of meat and process on the slicer.
• Replace wax paper on stacker when out.
• Monitor production area for trash and debris on floor.
• Adhere to Standardized Work Practices.
• Communicate effectively with company employees at all levels.
• Become certified in LOTO and operate forklift and pallet jack.
