Job summary

Tyson Foods in Newbern, TN is hiring for a 2nd shift production role. You will set up equipment, pack patties, and keep scraps cleaned off the line while following safety and food safety policies.

The job requires lifting up to 49 pounds, working on a cold line (≤35°F) for long periods, and standing for eight hours. Applicants should be able to work Monday through Friday, with potential Saturdays, and communicate effectively with teammates.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 49 pounds.
• Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
• Must be able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
• Must be able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for minimum of 8 hours.
• This position does not accept rehires.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and prepare for startup.
• Pack patties and keep line clean from scraps.
• Slide packed patties onto conveyor line.
• Maintain line evenness and remove doubles from the line.
• Monitor production area for trash and debris.
• Follow production schedule and standardized work practices.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
