Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Clerk for 2nd shift in Schaumburg, IL to coordinate shipment and receipt of goods, prepare shipping docs, inspect shipments, and maintain records. The role requires accuracy, proper labeling, and collaboration with carriers and internal teams.

Responsibilities include handling and verifying shipments, posting deliveries in software, packing securely, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. Forklift operation may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Check products for defects and accuracy.
• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments and verify items physically.
• Post outbound deliveries using designated software.
• Package items securely for shipment and ensure proper labeling.
• Verify serial and batch numbers against product records.
• Pull, pack, and ship finished goods and customer orders.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments and verify accuracy.
• Record all transactions accurately in the company database.
• Operate forklifts to transport shipments to pallets and loading areas.
• Coordinate storage space for incoming shipments.
