Job summary

Durex Industries is seeking a Shipping Operator for the 2nd shift to support outbound shipments, pack and label items, and ensure on-time delivery. This role requires operating forklifts, maintaining accurate shipment records, and coordinating with multiple departments to resolve shipping issues.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year in manufacturing shipping/receiving, strong attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining a safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Manufacturing Shipping and Receiving.
• Forklift and other warehouse equipment experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to train and work in other supporting work centers.
• Commitment to safety in the workplace.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of shipment contents against purchase orders and invoices.
• Coordinate production components through the shop floor and departments, providing status to production teams.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs declarations.
• Assemble and kit components for production, stock and shipping.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages.
• Participate in the cycle count program and annual inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding shipping issues and expedite assemblies to shipping.
• Operate forklifts, packaging equipment, and pallet jacks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Prepare all shipments by end of day to meet customer expectations and plant objectives.
• Follow shipping specifications per order and standard procedures.
• Transfer material between manufacturing plants.
• Other duties as assigned
