Job summary

Tyson Foods Wilkesboro plant is seeking a 2nd Shift Scale House Operator to accurately weigh inbound and outbound truck traffic and manage data flow. You will enter shipment data, audit records, and prepare shipping documents for carriers while ensuring compliance with North Carolina weight laws.

Role requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to operate office equipment and CB radios. A NC Weighmaster certificate is required and 6 months recent work history is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of work history in the last 12 months documented in the application.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to enter data accurately.
• Able to read labels, recipes and follow instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Weight inbound and outbound truck traffic accurately.
• Enter data related to incoming raw materials.
• Audit data entries for raw materials and finished products.
• Prepare and distribute shipping documentation for inbound/outbound materials.
• Provide outbound shipping docs to carriers and haulers.
• Maintain valid NC Public Weighmaster Certificate.
• Inspect inbound loads for contamination and moisture; check weight compliance.
• Communicate operational information via CB radios and phones.
• Keep work area clean, organized and safe.
• Generate and distribute reports to plant leadership.
